Heianjingu was built in 1895 to commemorate 1,100th anniversary of the transfer of capital in Heian era, and it enshrines the 50th emperor, Kaimu Tenno. Its history is relatively short in Kyoto, but Heianjingu has 30,000 square meters of large garden and many tourists visit there to enjoy the view of seasonal scenery of the garden. Heian Jingu is also one of popular shrine for WAKON wedding.
Plan & Price
They have two halls – Hon-den (main hall) and Kagura-den (kagura hall) for the Shinto style wedding ceremony.
Hon-den Plan
At 300,000 yen, you can have whole Shinto style of ceremony including ritual purification by priest, Mikomai (dance performance by shrine maidens), Sansankudo (exchange cups of sake) and exchange rings.
Hon-den plan is generally available four times a day (10 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3 pm) for 50 people including bride and gloom.
The plan does not include wedding clothes and dressing, and you can add the wedding clothes plan(Wedding clothes plan is as follows).
Kagura-den Plan
At 120,000 yen, you can have whole Shinto style of ceremony including ritual purification by priest, Mikomai (dance performance by shrine maidens), Sansankudo (exchange cups of sake) and exchange rings.
Kagura-den plan is generally available for 13 times ceremonies at maximum a day from 9 am to 3 pm, and its capacity is 38 people including bride and gloom.
The plan does not include wedding clothes and dressing, and you can add the wedding clothes plan(Wedding clothes plan is as follows).
Wedding Clothes Plan
You can rent Kimono wedding dresses for bride and gloom and have dressing service at 324,000 yen (incl. tax).
